This website shows how much school sports impacts the school spirit. To be specific, we focused on one school, Northern High School in Dillsburg, PA. We analyzed differnet aspects according to events at this High School.
In finding our subject, we quickly agreed that we want to have a connection to this American school, because Leonie was able to experience the school spirit herself due to her year abroad. After that, we chose the first question that came to our minds. For us, it is very interesting how much the U.S. differs from us in terms of school sports, which led us to our analysis. At the beginning, we collected some possible sources that could help us with the process for our product. The next step was identifying all topics that are important for our presentation and organising who works at which aspect. Informing and writing was done on our own and after finishing that we met for certain times. At the fist time we compared our texts and discussed whether we wanted to add anything else. Furthermore, we needed to contact the principal for our interview which is also available on our website.
We have covered all aspects of school sport affecting school spirit which ended in our conclusion that it is essential for a great school spirit, so the students have fun and success by going to school.
After we recorded all the content, we started to create our website. The reason for that kind of product is the possibility of a well structured order of our topics and additionally it is the most common way to convey information to people.
Definition of school spirit
School spirit is the atmosphere at a school. Especially in the United States the students are able to feel it everyday, because of different activities or other possibilities. It could be very simple like wearing the merch from that school you are from, but it could also be the attendance at athletics and the support for the school sport teams.

Hey! My name is Talea Fischer. I am seventeen years old and I am a student of the current Q1 at the Lloyd Gymnasium in Bremerhaven. I live in the same village as Dena. In my free time I love to hang out with my friends or I am working at a local restaurant.
Conclusion
After analysing the relation between school sports and school spirit, it’s obvious to us that these two aspects are closely related to each other. In fact, one does not work without the other. That‘s due to the fact that you need school sports to strengthen the school spirit and otherwise a great school spirit for hyping up and supporting the different sport teams. Our texts prove that school spirit is indispensable for a great school atmosphere. All sports have an big impact but we all agree that fun and good organized football games make the most difference. This was also approved by the head principal Mr. Lehman in the interview. Another important result of our analysis is that a strong school spirit leads to a totally different everyday school life. Students are more motivated and it supports the teamwork in and out of school. Sports can improve building a strong community where everyone is able to reach their goals. All these aspects makes the students wanting to go to school and the involvement in school activities increases. That’s what fascinates us so much and that’s why we think that school spirit is so important.
